The Senior Data Integration Engineer is responsible for providing guidance to a team who performs DataOps, Data Integration, data collection, data science, as well as establishing Data Integration architecture standards and supporting Data Integration applications and application programming interfaces (API) that have been implemented as business focused solutions. This includes the development and support of large-scale data structures and pipelines to ingest, move, transform, and integrate data to help generate insights and meeting advanced analytics and reporting needs across all functional areas of the Commonwealth and at the enterprise level.
In this vital role, the Senior Data Integration Engineer lead a team and boost digital experience and customer engagement by ensuring the smooth delivery of best-in-class Data Integration services that meet and/or exceed customer demands. The Senior Data Integration Engineer requires a unique combination of technical/business acumen and interpersonal skills as well as passion for delivering high quality services to customers.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years experience developing using Java, Python, PHP, Ruby and/or Node.js to develop and support API and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk)
Additional Requirement:
- You must have experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying Data Integrations.
- You must have experience with data design, architecture, and data modeling in distributed cloud/hybrid environments.
- You must have experience with project management practices, frameworks, and methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).
- You must have the ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications.
- You must have the ability to select, adapt, and effectively use a variety of programming methods.
- You must have the ability to recognize and recommend needed changes in user and operations procedures including participation in code reviews.
- You must have strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients.
- You must have experience with ETL and integration platform tools such as MuleSoft, Informatica, SnapLogic, Glue, Data Factory, etc.
- You must have experience with centralized coding and version control systems such as Git/GitHub for code merging, managing branches, and resolving conflicts.
- You must have experience with manual/automated functional testing and unit testing.
- You must have experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring junior members of varying skill levels.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
