About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer/Data Architect with a strong background in data warehousing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with expertise in one of the leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The role will involve designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and data warehouse solutions, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines.
- Architect, build, and maintain data warehouse solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
- Optimize and tune data warehouse performance for optimal query execution.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and data quality standards are met.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud platforms.
- Lead and mentor junior data engineering team members.
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines and architecture.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data architecture.
- Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience with Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of database patterns, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions within project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Certification in cloud-based data engineering or architecture.
