The Expertise You Have
- 6-9+ years of industry experience as a Database engineer and developer.
- B.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field.
- Strong database knowledge and proven experience with data analysis as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Expertise in ETL and data warehouse concepts
- Expertise in using the following software/ tools:
- Cloud data storage and services: S3, EC2, Snowflake, EMR, Cloud formation
- Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Luigi, Airflow
- Programming and Scripting: Python, shell scripting, SQL, and Linux.
- Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Experience of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms to ensure alignment to software engineering methodologies.
- Strong understanding of modern Data Engineering principles
- Strong communication and influencing skills to integrate effectively into the inclusive culture.
- Strong desire to learn new skills and emerging technologies/industry trends quickly.
- Provide a long-term solution for the foundational Data and Analytics platform
- Provide solutions that deliver business value
- Creating data tools for analytics and data scientist teams in building and optimizing healthcare product and service offerings.
