HybridCybersecurity and Intelligence Services (CIS) is a Business Unit within Raytheon, an RTX business. CIS delivers cyber and intelligence related data solutions to our customers. Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Data Engineer who can build robust, scalable data systems and pipelines. If you have a passion for data architecture, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want you on our team.
Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems
Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts
Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production
Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goal
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases
- Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or related discipline
Security Clearance:
No Security Clearance required, but Secret or higher preferred.
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
