The Rehancement Group, Inc. (TRG), based in Tysons Corner, VA, is looking for a Senior Data Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in data science, ready to provide innovative solutions to improve the General Services Administration (GSA)'s supply chain and acquisition processes. The Senior Data Consultant will lead data analysis and metrics modeling efforts by querying various government systems through, developing performance metrics, establishing standardized reports, analyzing enterprise performance, and automating processes to increase efficiency. The person in this role will provide a combination of the following: 1) Demonstrated experience coordinating project tasks; 2) Experience in one or more of the key project areas; 3) Experience supporting the implementation of business operations improvements or project tasks. This is a remote position, though candidates in the Washington D.C. area are preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and distribute reports, data visualizations, or dashboards using data collected from various sources. These outputs could be in formats like MS Excel spreadsheets, Tableau dashboards, applications on Google Workspace, or other formats as requested.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to understand their needs for reporting and analysis.
  • Create, maintain, and update tools and applications built to help our clients with their daily operational needs.
  • Manage the deployment of business intelligence tools to end-users, ensuring they have what they need to make data-driven decisions.
  • Work closely with IT and system leads to stay updated on system changes and ensure our data remains accurate and reliable.
  • Become an expert on our client's processes, including ordering, invoicing, and database management.
  • Handle ad hoc data requests from the team and clients, turning data into easy-to-understand reports.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, answering any data-related questions and providing insights.
  • Help with cost and price analysis to support program decision-making.
  • Provides programmatic business and process advice to General Services Administration (GSA).
  • Proactively works to improve GSA's efficiency with existing and/or suggested tools and resources.
  • Regularly consults with the GSA Stakeholder's on process improvements and ensures consistent and appropriate lines of communication.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with large datasets and various data sources.
  • Proven track record of delivering analytical projects from start to finish, with a strong aptitude for creative problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Tableau, creating dashboards from scratch and integrating various data sources.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with VBA for creating custom Excel tools.
  • Comfortable using JavaScript for automating tasks in Google Workspace.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently to develop tools or reports to meet client requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including in-person communication and virtual meetings.
  • Must be eligible for a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with IBM Cognos Analytics for report development, data querying, and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with government programs and DoD systems.
  • SQL Server database maintenance.
  • Active Secret Clearance or Public Trust Clearance.
