As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will provide hands-on guidance in the implementation of privacy and security controls throughout our product lines, roll out and champion Product Security processes and practices across the organization and ensure we have privacy by design and security by default!
Our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. As a collaborative member of the R&D Team you will be responsible for reviewing product designs for security weaknesses, and coaching and leading security-related activities, such as threat modeling and vulnerability assessments. You will quantify security risks and correlate to current threat landscape trends by relying on your experience communicating with engineering teams to resolve security issues identified by vulnerability scans and penetration tests. You will be embedded with the product development teams, guiding by example, and using your software background to demonstrate and implement best practices. This position is based out of our Vista, CA location and will be hybrid.
Responsibilities

  • Develop product security risk assessment activities and contribute to threat modeling and security design activities.
  • Develop, Review and Maintain product privacy and security designs to then track plans, timelines, and implementations of required security controls across all product lines.
  • Ensure software bills of materials are crafted, maintained, and monitored for vulnerabilities.
  • Work with global teams to implement roadmaps for continuing security improvements aligned to industry needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering or equivalent major or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in software engineering or related experience with 2+ years within product, software or infrastructure security including security governance, risk management frameworks
  • Demonstrated design for security capabilities with the ability to communicate security best practices
  • Experience developing threat models and risk assessments
  • At minimum, exposure and understanding of secure software development lifecycles (SDLC), with strong preference for healthcare / medical device or similar

Preferred Qualifications
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as HCISSP, CISSP, CRISC, CSSLP or CEH
  • Working in a regulated environment with global privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA
  • Implementing and rolling out Product Security processes and practices in a multifunctional organization

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the Company location identified above and part-time remotely from your home. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
