Zurich is currently looking to hire a Senior Underwriter to join our Wholesale E&O and Cyber team in Atlanta! We are open to hiring in Chicago, Phoenix, Atlanta or New York. In this role, you will underwrite and perform financial analysis across professional liability E&O, employed lawyers and security and privacy. The position will have technical, transactional and market facing responsibilities; and it will also make contributions in the areas of product/proposition development, marketing, fulfillment, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Generating, underwriting, and analyzing E&O and Cyber new and renewal policies
  • Market facing and production with wholesale brokers
  • Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules
  • Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts and developing a pipeline of business
  • Collaborating and cross selling with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich

Senior Cyber E&O Underwriter (Level III) Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting, Market Facing area, Cybersecurity, Finance, or Management Consulting
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims, or Underwriting Support area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting, Market Facing area, Cybersecurity, Finance, Management Consulting
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
    AND
  • Knowledge of line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
  • Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Technical knowledge of E&O, Cyber Underwriting
  • Established broker relationships (wholesale brokers) nationwide
  • Sales execution mindset
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Compensation may exceed the salary listed based on the evaluation of skillset and experience. The starting salary range for the position is: $103,900.00 - $ $178,600.00.
