The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is the state’s largest food bank. We provide food for 15 out of 21 New Jersey counties. Distributing over 85 million meals last year, maintaining pandemic service levels. Our mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long term solutions. Hunger exists in every community from the poorest to the most affluent.

The Senior Customer Service Specialist assists in overseeing daily activities and management of our unique purchasing program. This position requires direct involvement or oversight of programs, plans, implementation of assigned projects, inventory management and other departmental initiatives. The goal of the PURCH2 program is to pass along CFBNJ’s purchasing power to our network partners and offer partners opportunities to spend down their Shop Rite Partners in Caring grant funds to purchase preferred food items. The PURCH2 program helps free resources and allows our partners to fulfill their missions in other ways.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Lead in identifying potential agencies for the program.

· Engage participants insight in surveys and other feedback loops.

· Lead in the engagement and follow-up of lapsed partner agencies.

· Work with agencies to expand their capacity to receive more products.

· Review agency orders to identify red flags and unusual ordering patterns.

· Follow trends in product movement and make strategic adjustments as necessary.

· Provide supervision of daily activities of Customer Service associates.

· Resolve problems and issues with agency orders and invoices.

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of 2 years experience in program coordination, development, and project management

· Capability to communicate complex findings in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to take initiative, work independently and solve problems.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people of varying cultures and interact effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders.

· Must be proficient data entry, Microsoft O365 including Outlook, Excel, PowerBI

· Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
