Senior Creative Services Producer/Editor, CBS Boston (WBZ)

WBZ-TV is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior CreativeProducer/Editor to build marketing and branding across our duopoly of WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV, as well as our digital properties including CBS News Boston, CBSBoston.com and our social channels! As a key player in our Creative team, you will play a pivotal role in elevating and solidifying WBZ News as the best-in-class news source in the Boston market. Our brand promise is to make our communities a better place to live, and we want that sentiment to permeate each of our marketing initiatives. We're looking for someone passionate about local journalism and their community as well as bring a creative, contemporary approach to a multitude of projects.
WBZ serves as a Regional Marketing Lead amongst the CBS owned and operated stations. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with CBS Marketing and develop creative that will be distributed nationally across our 17-market station group.
Responsibilities:

1. Promotional Content Creation: write, produce, manage and edit attention-grabbing image and topical promos that effectively communicate the unique value propositions of WBZ News.
2. Marketing Campaigns: Conceptualize, plan, and implement compelling marketing campaigns across various channels, including on-air, digital, and social media, to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
3. Brand Strategy: Develop and build impactful, high-quality promotional content - including on-air spots and digital and social media assets-aligned with WBZ News' brand identity and messaging, that resonate with the Boston audience.
4. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including news producers, on-air talent, and marketing specialists, to ensure flawless integration of brand messaging across all platforms.
5. Performance Analysis: Apply data and analytics to assess the efficiency of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in a senior-level marketing or creative production role, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience, preferably in the news or media industry.
• A genuine passion for local news and storytelling, with an understanding of the role a news organization plays in the community.
• Proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to shoot a welcomed bonus, to create engaging, on-brand marketing. Familiarity with Avid and the Adobe Creative Suite is a requirement.
• Highly organized and able to adapt to fast-paced environments, leading multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of creative excellence.
• Proven leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to encourage colleagues towards achieving marketing objectives.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to optimally convey ideas and concepts to diverse collaborators.
