LHH is currently recruiting for a Senior Cost Accountant with a long-term, manufacturing client. This role reports to the Cost Accounting Manager, wonderful person, and has an opportunity to join a growing company.
They would like the person to reside in OR or WA to have some onsite flexibility. The company is located in the Portland metro area. If the person lives outside the Portland area, they are flexible on the amount on onsite work needed but still wants someone local to have the ability to come in periodically. NO fully remote candidates!
Overall Responsibilities:
Average cost areas, focus will mostly be on US locations
Monitor non-routine inventory transactions
Review daily cycle count variances and report site accuracy metrics
Review site work orders and research large variances
Research suspense account activities
GL and assist with the monthly-close area
Analysis of financial data
Provide support to other accounting areas and during audits
We are looking for (key requirements/preferences):
Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting
CPA/CMA a plus but not mandatory
5+ years cost accounting experience
Larger ERP systems experience
Good team player, eager to learn, able to ask questions when needed
Team oriented but someone who can work autonomously without being micromanaged to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Good communications and ability to interact with other accounting and non-accounting staff as needed

Salary = $80-95k base
