Senior Contracts Administrator
CIRCOR International
Business: Aerospace & Defense
Location: Hauppauge, New York, US
POSITION DETAILS
You Will:
  • Administer assigned customer accounts, including evaluating customer performance requirements, delivery schedules, and reviewing estimates of material and labor costs.
  • Provide mutually acceptable solutions to customer problems impacting cost or schedule, negotiating requirements across multiple customers, products, and internal teams.
  • Manage backlog and ensure that all system tools are updated daily.
  • Investigate and resolve claims or complaints by collecting and analyzing information, coordinating with relevant functions on technical and/or quality issues, and resolving customer complaints covering invoices or billing discrepancies.
  • Approve or authorize special price quotations and allowances, deductions, and adjustments on a case-by-case basis, determining the need for amendments or extensions to warranties or agreements, and identifying out-of-scope customer requested changes.
  • Analyze and propose changes in methods and/or procedures to improve efficiency and the quality of service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with customers on assigned accounts, coordinating customer visits, presentations, and audits, and maintaining successful long-term business relationships and contacts with customers.
  • Perform work assignments that may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g., continuous improvement).
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade publications, and participating in professional associations such as the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations, advising management on necessary actions.
  • Interface with customers to meet and exceed their expectations and respond to their requirements.
  • Administer contracts for products and systems to ensure fulfillment of contractual fiscal and performance obligations.
  • Direct and oversee assigned customer accounts, defining and interpreting customer requests/requirements, generating quotes/proposals, monitoring/driving performance, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers, interacting with them to understand their requirements, provide updates on product/program status, and work closely with sales account managers and other associates.
  • Collaborate with other company disciplines assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Represent the customers in meetings (Voice of Customer) with other functional areas, be responsible for customer satisfaction, maintain communication, and overall manage the customer relationship.
  • Negotiate, develop, monitor, and administer a variety of contracts and agreements in partnership with other areas of the business.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

You Have:
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • A proven track record of success in sales support working with key OEMs and/or Tier 2 customers within the aerospace & defense markets.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple sales opportunities.
  • Strong writing, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work as a team player, with effective communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with export compliance (ITAR/EAR) and industry-specific requirements/standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other applicable tools.
  • High energy level and the ability to perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change.
  • Participative management style, advocating the team concept.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to get along well with people of diverse backgrounds, experience, and personalities.
  • The ability to establish credibility and be decisive while recognizing and supporting the organization's preferences and priorities.

Education & Experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Inside Sales/Marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive inside sales, customer service, and/or contracts administration in the Aerospace, Defense, or related market space.

OTHER
  • Must be a US Person.

PAY RANGE: $90K - $110K.
The pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
