SalaryWe are looking for a competent Caregiver to care for my dad in his mid-80’s in a professional and compassionate manner. Currently, he needs part-time support but does not require personal care. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Help client take prescribed medication
- Assist client with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Help client with physical therapy exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client (when he's able)
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Take client to medical/personal appointments as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties that client can’t complete on his own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Preferred schedule is Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri (11-2 PM), but there may be some flexibility available.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
