COMPENSATION
$81-$89 per hour
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday, 40 hr week
Potential for overtime
*Must be local or open to relocate
CONTRACT TERM
1.5 year contract with possibility of extension
POSITION OVERVIEW: Commissioning Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up, interview, hire and manage the onshore commissioning team in alignment with the Pixi book.
• Manage the full electrical scope including installation, quality and commissioning of LV, MV & HV equipment.
• Support and coordinate the site-based activities relating to Mechanical handling, protection and SCADA roles within the overall EI&C schedule
• Manage the overall commissioning plan within the agreed project schedule.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with main suppliers and sub-contractors. Prioritize work scopes as necessary.
• Coordinate overall project SIT commissioning activities.
• Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation.
• Report installation and commissioning progress
• Lead and participate in commissioning meetings including but not limited to, commissioning panel meetings, individual scope meetings, internal commissioning team meetings & contractor monthly meetings.
• Give input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ)
• Ensure that quality of installation & commissioning is in line with agreed standards and project requirements including the Employers Technical Standards.
• To ensure the on time and complete commissioning of the onshore substation ready for handover to operations and maintenance team.
• Carry out and support with tests after completion (TaC).

TASKS
• Manage overall commissioning time schedule, including key milestones by liaising with planner to update the P6 program.
• Supervise the quality control during the installation of electrical systems and note any snags or defects in Digital Inspection Tool (DIT). Close once complete.
• Coordinate the electrical installation & commissioning activities performed by suppliers, contractors and Orsted by utilizing the daily ROC drills, toolbox talks, HSE briefings and planning meetings.
• Participate in witnessing of FAT.
• Coordinate and participate in witnessing of SAT with suppliers.
• Coordinate and execute the SIT test.
• Ensure that the commissioning activities follow HSE & Orsted/all required standards.
• Report commissioning activities to the project team, site management and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate Commissioning activities with NGET/TSO company, Wind Farm Commissioning Project Manager & SAP team.
• Contribute actively to evaluation of the project and capture lessons learnt throughout the project in Synergi.
• Review of ITPs from Suppliers.
• Management of product NCRs in Synergi.
• Review of test sheets and as-built documentation during Asset Project execution phase
DELIVERABLES
• Follow Gate Model for guidance in project.
• Input to Technical Record File (TRF).
• Input to HSE meetings, RAMS & HAZID reviews.
• Input to tender reviews.
• Make CDR and Matrix project specific.
• Manage commissioning program
• Product Conformance report of the team and provide to line manager
• Provide monthly reports to management team
PROJECT DOCUMENTS
• Maintenance and service documentation
• punch list (DIT)
• Status reporting from construction site.
• Lessons learnt (Synergi).
• Quality plan.
• Comm. Matrix/CDR
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of US substations
  • Knowledge of installation and testing of electrical equipment
  • Able to manage a team of supervisors
  • Able to manage both internal and external stakeholders
  • excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Five years of relevant project experience required.
  • Good project and stakeholder management skills, coordination skills and a talent for driving solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commissioning experience within the field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, Protection, low voltage and utility installations and components.
  • Experience with onshore substations work.
  • Should be degree qualified in a relevant Electrical Engineering subject
