Overview of the role:
The Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Hartford Funds will be responsible for identifying emerging technologies, building cloud-native services, driving automation, and enhancing governance and controls to safeguard our organization's cloud assets. The resource will be a team player and will use their strong communications to promote best practices and to further cloud adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud operations.
• Enhance governance frameworks and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure cloud architectures and solutions.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Lead incident response efforts related to Cloud Security incidents.
• Mitigate identified threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
• Design and develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes and enhance efficiency.
• Implement automation for monitoring, response, and incident handling in the cloud environment.
• Continuously analyze security processes and controls to identify areas for improvement.
• Propose and implement enhancements to stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies.
• Strong desire to learn the asset management business and to apply novel solutions to solve complex challenges.
• Remain current with the emerging cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JSON, Python, Bash)
• Strong understanding of Cloud Security architecture, including IAM, networking, and data protection
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$125,000 - $165,000
