Fine Point Consulting, a boutique Accounting, CFO and HR services firm, is hiring a Senior Cloud Accountant to join our fun and high energy team. The Senior Cloud Accountant position is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting for firm clients. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Senior Cloud Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely work by Staff Accountants. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end client tax and audit projects, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Senior Cloud Accountant will have contact with clients and client contacts including the client's tax accountant and other professional service providers.

Reports to: Controller

Responsibilities

• Overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information
• Bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations
• Payroll reconciliations
• Review and approval of account classifications
• Review of G/L for any missing transactions and overall accuracy
• Preparation of initial/draft Management Reporting Package each month, including variance and summary reporting, for review by Controller
• Routing of Sales Tax and other reports for preparation within the firm

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred).
• Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Innovative thinker that enjoys building things from scratch and finding new ways to solve problems.
• Team player with a positive 'can do' approach.

Nice to have/Bonus points:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
• A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.
• Previous experience in public accounting or consulting on multiple clients.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com.

Compensation / Benefits:

• Salary range $50000-70000/yr based on experience plus eligibility in profit sharing plan.
