The Senior Financial Services (FS) Digital Business Developer is a trusted growth resource to generate new Wipfli client relationships, by creating excitement around the ways human-centered UX design, digital product development, cybersecurity, fintech, analytics, and more, are impacting the FS industry. The FS Digital Business Developer introduces a world of possibilities for FS organizations to better engage with their customers and members, and ultimately, helps futureproof them in this evolving digital landscape. They facilitate connections and introductions to Wipfli's ideal client prospects, develop and deliver proactive recommendations/proposals,  and play a pivotal role in the sales within the FS industry by identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities in digital.

 

We are looking for someone who can combine their deep subject matter expertise in the FS industry -including experience working with banks, fintechs, payment providers, and more-with their passion for technology. This role works closely with the Industry Leader for FS, a FS Digital Strategist, and Wipfli Digital's Growth Leader, and is instrumental in setting Wipfli Digital apart and establishing a foundation for long-term success and growth. The ideal leader will focus on:

 

Business Development and Sales Execution 

  • Serve as a primary growth and new business sales contact for Wipfli's Financial Services Digital Transformation Practice working closely with our Financial Services Industry Strategists and Digital Transformation Experts
  • Create awareness and build relationships with key accounts and Relationship Executives in Wipfli's Financial Services Practice 
  • Represent the full breadth of digital service offerings within Financial Services 
  • Develop leads through external referral sources, associations and networking groups 
  • Manage multiple, complex pursuits and coordinate a collaborative sales effort with subject matter experts and consultants through the entire sales lifecycle 
  • Participate in trade shows and regional industry events 
  • Assist with preparing and presenting the value proposition 
  • Support direct marketing campaigns and programs - follow up on marketing qualified leads to further nurture those leads and turn them into sales opportunities 

Planning 

  • Understand the targeted market segment needs, industry issues, competitive threats and our service offerings 
  • Build a strong working relationship with leaders within Wipfli's Financial Services Industry 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or other job related major, or an equivalent level of job-related experience 
  • 10+ years of consulting and service sales experience
  • This role will serve as a primary Senior BDR Executive over our Digital services in Financial Services
  • A passion for the Financial Services industries
  • Previous sales/business development and Financial Services industry experience required, including experience selling into banks, fintechs, payment providers and more
  • Familiarity with selling intangibles and value-added services 
  • The ability to craft and execute strategic and tactical plans to close projects and demonstrated success in developing new client relationships 
  • High integrity - honors commitments 
  • Ability to manage and sell on social platforms 
  • Solid executive presence and business acumen 
  • Ability to influence decision-makers at the highest levels in client organizations 
  • Able to close business with a win/win negotiating style

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate's unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $95,000 to $161,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.

 

Individuals may also be eligible for a variable incentive plan, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to individual and Firm performance.
