Overview
TRC is looking for a Sr. Bridge Engineer who specializes in earth retaining systems to join our team in the Irvine, CA area. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 experience working on local agency and Caltrans structural projects and must be a registered PE in CA. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working without continuous supervision, but enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing structural engineering projects focusing on the design of transportation related structures such as retaining walls, culverts, slabs, buried structures (vaults) and foundations. Being a team player is an absolute requirement.
Responsibilities

• Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
• Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction.
• Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies.
• Perform advanced structural analyses.
• Provide office design support during construction.
• Ability to mentor entry level staff.
• Ability to provide QA/QC on retaining wall design projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher degree in Civil Engineering, emphasis on Structures.
• 3+ years of proven structural design experience.
• CA Professional Engineer License
• Experience using structural engineering design and analysis software (i.e. SAP2000, STAAD, RAM Concept, PYWall, LPile, Retain Pro) to prepare engineering and design documents for studies, preliminary design, and final design of bridges and other transportation related structures.
• Able to serve as Structural Task Leader on projects within your expertise, to assist in the planning and execution of structural engineering tasks associated with transportation projects.
• Experience and proficiency in the design and analysis of multiple wall types. For example, block walls, gravity walls, pile supported walls, MSE walls, soldier pile walls, secant pile walls, soil nail walls, and tie-back walls.
• Experienced in transportation project quantity calculations and cost estimating, specifications, and construction plan development.
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCad, MicroStation, and ProjectWise is beneficial.
• Working knowledge or the ability to quickly pick up use of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be flexible, well organized, accountable and dependable.

Salary Range
USD $115,000.00 - USD $167,000.00 /Yr.
