Description
The Senior Brand Marketing Manager helps to create, develop and manage First Tech's brand presence and creative output, both externally for existing/potential members and within the credit union amongst staff. The Senior Brand Manager accomplishes these goals through traditional Creative Services and Production Support.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
Creative Services:
  • Lead projects both independently and in collaboration with other designers, as well as partner with illustrators, motion designers, copywriters, photographers, and internal stakeholders to deliver on briefs
  • Produce creative assets and collateral for marketing initiatives and all communication channels (digital & web, social, print, out-of-home, retail etc.), ensuring all work is on time and on budget
  • Ideate and develop formal creative concepts for marketing campaigns and provide Art Direction for in-house projects and agency and freelance efforts
  • Ensure consistent design executions across multiple platforms that provide maximum member impact and build an enduring premium brand
  • Participate and contribute during campaign planning stages: understanding the campaign objectives, product or service and the key communication goals
  • Develop storyboard visuals for video and animated creative assets
  • Understand creative and industry trends and push for innovative designs to evolve our creative efforts and brand experience
  • Responsible for managing style guides, branded templates and other creative assets to establish consistent visual language in the market and across the organization
  • Work with internal partners to ensure brand alignment and compliance outside of assigned design projects
  • Manage all creative assets, including those in the digital assets management library and any other marketing file structures (images, graphics, final files, etc.)
  • Mentor Brand Marketing Managers on a day to day basis

Production Support:
  • Manage mail, retail brand, and agency/freelance production including internal timelines, vendor estimates and SLAs, orders and timely delivery, quality assurance (including press checks)
  • Design and produce templated items like forms, on-demand retail signage, and in-branch display collateral
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of in-branch display network devices and coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to facilitate timely response to incidents
  • Edit, proofread and provide feedback on a variety of copy/assets that require production support
  • Assist in the rewriting of existing operational communications in order to maintain a consistent brand voice

Essential Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in creative services, developing powerful brand identities or supporting large-scale print, mail and retail production initiatives.
  • Strong portfolio of creative, graphic animated design work or videography
  • Strong familiarity with standards for print production, image and file set-up for a variety of output devices and media
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated creative and forward thinker, with knowledge of current visual and production trends
  • Superb conceptual skills, high-level sense of design, visual brand identity, typography, iconography, composition, color, and layout
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing, speaking, and negotiation
  • Ability to foster strong internal and external business relationships
  • Advanced knowledge of design programs current to the industry including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; especially Microsoft Excel
  • Broad knowledge of credit union operations is preferred
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred

Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office, Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $97,000 to $108,000 annually + annual bonus
