Senior Brand Manager

Overview:

We have a portfolio of exciting brands that need an evangelist to lead the brand and marketing communication strategy and execution. Your work will impact strategic company decisions, grow our customers' businesses, and win the hearts and minds of consumers.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for driving growth for the IPC portfolio of brands. This will include building and executing plans to deliver annual brand, P&L, and share objectives. Responsibilities include the development of insight-driven marketing strategies, developing innovative and effective communication (creative and media), and working closely with Sales on shopper marketing and category management.

This role will report directly to the VP - Marketing and Innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand macro trends, category and competitive landscape, and current and evolving consumer needs and motivations.
  • Own brand communication and convert insights into communication that is relevant to the consumer, delivered in a way, at a time, and in a place that maximizes the receptivity of the consumer.
  • Lead customer insights to monitor and report performance against our operating plan and recommend course corrections as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales to supply insights and resources to align and grow both our and our customers' businesses.
  • Manage volume and margin while leading cross-functional business teams, partnering with Finance, Supply Chain, R&D and Sales to effectively commercialize and execute plans and proactively look for opportunities to improve margins.
  • Manage and develop Marketing Analysts and/or Brand Managers.

  • Track record for developing successful breakthrough integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Aptitude to develop a perspective and tell a clear story with data while communicating with impact.
  • Ability to translate insights into action with limited information.
  • Experience with motivating and developing team members.
  • Development of category and customer strategies to win with our customers.
  • Being the expert on and advocate for the consumer when developing brand communication strategies.
  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to motivate both internal and external partners.
  • Continuous curiosity and a thirst for learning.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - MBA preferred
  • 7+ years CPG marketing or related industry experience in the food industry.
  • Must have experience with brand management.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence and collaborate across functions and with all organization levels.
  • Strong creative thinking with demonstrated ability to manage and activate creative, digital, social, PR, and media agency partners.
  • Strong strategic and innovative mindset to solve brand business problems.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within tight timeframes and deadlines in a dynamic working environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, IRI, Nielsen or SPINS.
  • Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen.

Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily performed in an office environment requiring the ability to sit, talk, hear, frequent walking, standing, and sitting; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Ability to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, and copier.
