This is an exceptional opportunity to become the Senior Bookkeeper for a solid CPA accounting, tax planning and tax strategy firm that strives to not only minimize tax burdens and maximize bottom line profits for small business owners but also represents them before the IRS to resolve their IRS tax issues.
Compensation And Benefits:
$50,000 - $65,000

Your Responsibilities:
Oversee a portfolio of high-end clients and help them create business transformations.
Review work to ensure accounting is accurate
Respond to client requests in a timely manner
Reconcile client accounts resolving any discrepancies or errors (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts)
Review junior team member’s financial reports to identify errors and provide feedback and coaching as needed
Prepare and analyze financial reports (i.e. income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) and review with clients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, purchase orders, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements
Process and record financial transactions, including journal entries and general ledger entries
Enter daily financial transactions using multiple accounting software platforms
Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Assist with the preparation of financial statements for audits and tax filings
Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience supervising junior bookkeepers
CPA or relevant certification is a plus
Desire to study for, take and pass the CPA exam
Skills We Are Looking For:
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
Expert level with Quickbooks (Online and Desktop) (minimum of 2 years of experience)
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in accounting software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
