Job Description
The Senior BIM Manager performs the essential job duties and functions of Building Information Modeling (BIM), with the overall objective of establishing and delivering an execution framework on a medium to large sized, engineering, procurement and construction / construction management (EPC/EPCM) or services project. The individual in this position reports directly to the Project Director, or Regional Manager of Projects for multiple projects. They are responsible for the management and supervision of BIM process implementation and coordination activities to include oversight of the master Federated Model, leading of the coordination and model review meetings, and responsible to ensure incorporation of required model modifications including quality assurance review of the final model. Provides supervision of BIM Coordinators on large complex projects and oversight of BIM coordinators assigned on multiple smaller projects.
• Responsible to plan, implement, and execute the Building Information Modeling (BIM) requirements for a project
• Responsible for providing BIM technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to the project BIM coordinator (s) and associated Project Execution team.
• Develop, implement, and train project team on a project specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
• Serves as a BIM Development & Implementation Manager on a medium to large size project and as a BIM Expert for the entire project team.
• Potential to serve as BIM Development & Implementation Manager for the Business Line and Company.
• As a key resource on a project team, the role requires collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor BIM coordinator(s), Fluor management and functional leads.

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience, or associates degree plus 18 years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (20) years* if non-degreed. Experience should include leading multi-disciplinary BIM effort on 8 or more projects, including at least three without management help, ideally over $200M. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Minimum of 2-5 yrs. of construction experience in the CAD/BIM technical arena
• Working Knowledge of BIM Authoring / CAD design software programs (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, etc.)
• Experience in a highly complex and industry diversified technical environment, specifically with an organization that is geographically dispersed
• Strong knowledge of BIM coordination software is a must (Navisworks, BIM 360 tools, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include, but are not limited to, management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Ability to lead coordination meetings and document issues
• Must demonstrate the leadership skills required to drive continuous improvement of processes which maximize the Company's profitability
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in engineering OR procurement and construction / construction management (EPC/EPCM) project management.
• Proactive - goal oriented with the initiative to influence events positively, lead Fluor project team, and influence client for decision making.
• Ability to resolve complex project or business environments.
• Ability to set and maintain high standards of self-performance with responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.
• Demonstration of innovation, initiative, maturity and sound judgement.
• Ability to influence a group of diverse individuals, each with their own goals, needs and perspectives to work together effectively for the good of the project.
• Mobility for example, relocating to site locations as necessary.
• Project execution experience in the industries this position will deliver services in.
• Utilize knowledge management processes to capture support and leverage relevant knowledge to enhance project execution.
• Familiar with 3D (Visualization, Laser Scanning point clouds), 4D, and 5D with a knowledge of how to implement on a BIM Project
• Ability to work directly with Lead Engineers and Construction teams and be able to support design teams in the review and verification of design and specification documents.
• Be a solid communicator, with the ability to communicate externally with customers and with all levels within the organization to ensure successful projects.
