Job Description
This role is contingent upon award. MindPoint Group is seeking a Senior BigFix Administrator who has expertise supporting large, high-visibility deployments of the BigFix platform and sub-modules. This exciting role requires the highest levels of professionalism, technical expertise, superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment.
What you get to do every day:
  • Work with Federal client POCs to perform activities related to the deployment, configuration, integration, and maintenance of BigFix in the client's environment
  • Utilize HCL BigFix architecture, client/server communication protocols, and security best practices
  • Create custom scripts for automating tasks and enhancing the functionality of the BigFix platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues as they arise including interfacing with HCL support
  • Create and analyze performance metrics that ensure optimal system performance
  • Provide performance optimization recommendations for applications, databases, and network bandwidth utilization
  • Analyze and interpret relevant logs and error messages effectively and communicate issues to the client
  • Design and document BigFix policies and engineering procedures
Qualifications

What skills are required?
  • Master's Degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of general experience and ten (10) years of relevant functional experience in multi-layer platform management and endpoint management
  • IBM or HCL Certified Administrator - BigFix Lifecycle, IBM or HCL Certified Associate Administrator - BigFix Platform, or similar
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting multi-layered technology platforms that acts as the core part of an enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience managing BigFix for a large enterprise
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux system administration
  • Well-versed knowledge of managing endpoints, assisting, creating and deploying fixlets, and software distribution
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Shell scripting, and relevance language
  • Ability to perform independently with very little guidance, but also able to work as part of a team to complete the overall project
  • Excellent communication, technical, and customer service skills with the ability to interact at very high levels within the client organization are of critical importance
