Overview:
This is a Senior development position, responsible for developing the APIs that power our applications, and occasionally working on a few front-end pieces powered by PHP and Javascript.
Successful Candidates will be able to:
- Develop new features and enhance our existing software, tools, and experiences to help delight our customers, taking responsibility for code quality, maintainability, reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Design and build new APIs, web services, and microservices while supporting the worldwide operations of our cloud-based intelligent security solutions.
- Collaboratively experiment, prototype, and document your work while helping to build new applications, services, and tools.
- Continuously improve and maintain code, including optimizing services for performance and scale.
- Stay up to date with technology and industry trends to continually drive innovation in our architecture, technology choices, engineering practices, and products.
- Drive impactful initiatives for the globally distributed infrastructure
- Attend SCRUM meetings and Keep track of GitHub tickets, commenting on them, changing the status of the tickets as you make progress
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, other engineering teams, and business groups, to drive end-to-end solutions
- Lead the team when necessary, mentoring and coaching more junior developers
- Communicate feedback and seek feedback on architecture/design of solutions
Successful Candidates will have prior experience with:
- PHP (5+ years)
- Symfony framework (2+ years)
- Composer
- Git/ GitHub
- Elasticsearch/ MongoDB/ MySQL
- Docker
- Consuming APIs
Additionally preferred:
- AWS
- Terraform
- Python
- JavaScript/TypeScript
