Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to support a growing fast-paced agile project team. This position may be remote. 

Responsibilities
  • Develop robust and scalable back-end solutions using programming languages such as C# and/or Java. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems. 
  • Optimize performance of web applications by implementing best practices in database management, caching, and server-side processing. 
  • Implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity. 
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging. 
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and best practices. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to project planning and estimation. 
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting. 
Qualifications

Required:

  • SENIOR LEVEL:10+ years of relevant experience and a STEM BS degree or 7 years relevant experience and a MS degree in computer science or systems engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in C# and/or Java.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as ASP.NET, Spring Boot, etc.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, for which one must be a US citizen. 

Desired:

  • Agile, Lean, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or other professional certification
  • Familiar with DoD IT standards and federal security standards strongly desired.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Vue, React, and/or Angular.
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or equivalent.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data. 
  • Experience working in a consultant/client environment.
