Job Description
The company is a privately held contract manufacturer of innovative plastic solutions for the medical and healthcare markets. In business for over 70 years, they have developed a reputation for industry-leading expertise across a diverse set of injection molding, automated assembly processes, and technologies complemented by a full suite of value-add services, including design and prototyping. Due to significant growth, they have asked our team to identify a top-grade Senior Automation Engineer for their operation just outside of Philadelphia, PA.
A qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronics or equivalent work experience
- Five (5+) plus years of experience in an Automation Engineering role. Plastics manufacturing experience would be a plus
- Three (3+) plus years of experience of project management experience, a PMP would be preferred
- Experience with automation project execution from concept, specification, development, integration, testing to start-up
- A solid understanding of automated manufacturing and packaging equipment and auxiliary systems and Working knowledge of industry standards ISA-S88 and ISA-S95
- Hands-on experience with factory floor automation such as Programable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Vision inspection systems and Robotic automation solutions
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal with all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel approximately 30% to visit corporate, plant, customer or supplier locations
