Senior Attorney - Estates

We are HighPoint Law, and we are looking to add a Senior Associate Attorney to our incredibly client-centric team to help us continue our growth. For the right person, there could be a path to partnership and/or an opportunity to help lead the firm in the near future for an individual who wants to run their own firm but perhaps doesn't have the desire to figure out all the processes and build a firm from scratch. An additional attorney will enable our growth to continue as well.

$100,000 - $125,000 yearly + bonus

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct initial consultation meetings with clients, discuss fees, and is able to get most new clients to sign up for services
• Edit, review, and customize estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced healthcare directives, etc.)
• Review estate administration files, working collaboratively with legal assistants. Review client files and prepare for client meetings
• Meet deadlines and track all hours worked to ensure efficiency
• Make recommendations to improve processes to ensure clients’ files move smoothly through the office
• Conduct research, and write and deliver topical articles and presentations for professional and community groups or newsletters as needed
• Facilitate potential client workshops and develop rapport and relationships in the community as the go-to resource for our services
• Meet with clients for document signing meetings and other duties as assigned

• JD degree from an accredited school of law with a current license to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania with at least 5-7 years of experience in estate planning, elder law, estate administration, and long-term care planning. Being a CELA or working on becoming a CELA is important. While VA planning is helpful, in this position, it is not essential
• Initiative: You are a self-starter who learns and implements quickly
• Excellent legal work; are able to work in accordance with firm procedures and have a Great track record of meeting deadlines
• Coachability, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and always treating others with respect. Excellent organization and follow-through
• Adaptability to change
• Ability to provide estate planning and elder law legal services with an exceptional client experience
• Ability to ensure that the legal services provided by the firm are in accord with the firm’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Ability to discuss fees and collect initial payment Ability to market and bring in new clients
