Advanced Systems Design is seeking aSenior ASP.NET MVC Developer for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking to hire an established senior-level Web Developer with experience working independently on large projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be an ASP.NET MVC developer experienced in a variety of the more difficult Web tools and languages.
  • The candidate will develop, maintain, and support applications for the organization’s Internet/Intranet sites. They will be responsible for the back-end and front-end development of assigned Web application(s). The primary application the candidate will be assigned to is a large, complex application.
  • The candidate may be the only developer assigned to the application which is why a strong established skill set including all the required skills is vital.
  • The candidate will gather and analyze requirements; Code all components of the application; Develop, maintain, and support all database components; Test all created or modified application components; Document application components; Publish/Deploy applications; Create system reports; Drive application migrations between servers and development tools; Troubleshoot and support assigned applications; Research, evaluate and recommend new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities and perform other related activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT work experience in software development, database design, migration, installation, and modification in an online environment
  • Must have experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, SQL Server, AJAX, jQuery, Razor, and Bootstrap at a minimum.
  • Must have experience with application migration to later technologies, upgraded servers, or new domains.
  • Must have experience using SSRS or RDLC for report development;
  • Must have a working knowledge of IIS setup and management;
  • Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have the ability to translate requirements into technical designs and functional code;
  • Must be able to handle large, complex projects that require advanced skill in multiple technical environments;
  • Must have a strong work ethic;
  • Must have the ability to work cohesively within a team or independently.
  • We will train on specific business area rules and policies, but the candidate will need to possess the required skillset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years building web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web API, RESTful APIs, Web Services, IIS, HTML/CSS, jQuery, Razor, AJAX, and Bootstrap
  • 8+ years of experience using C#, object-oriented programming
  • 8+ years SQL database development experience (Including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS)
  • 8+ years with data services technologies such as Entity Framework, WCF, XML, JSON, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience using TFS or DevOps
  • Experience with branching and merging in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and DevOps;
  • Knowledge of the deployment process and the ability to create manual and automated builds;
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask and still pay attention to detail;
  • Ability to work as a project team member but also independently as a project leader;
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment;
  • Ability and temperament to mentor more junior level technical staff.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. Or equivalent work experience
