Summary:

PerkinElmer is looking for a detail orientated, analytically minded professional to join its Insights and Analytics team. This position is part of the OneSource Asset Management team supporting lifecycle management of laboratory equipment for a large biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics. 

Duties include implementing technology to monitor equipment utilization as part of the larger Asset Management program.  This role is also responsible for maintaining the technology and analyzing outputs to drive decision making and value creation.  This integral role has a direct impact on the delivery of business analytics and supports PerkinElmer and the client in decision making, cost savings, and operational efficiency objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning phase in conjunction with the client to determine initial scope for Asset Genius deployment
  • Drives implementation of Asset Genius technology that will be used to monitor equipment utilization
  • Maintains Asset Genius via monitoring of system status and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Evaluate data generated by Asset Genius using or modifying existing analytics tools to make recommendations to the client around equipment fleet optimization
  • Provide periodic reports to the client on current state of Asset Genius deployment, opportunities for improvement, and recommendations resulting from analysis of the data
  • Work with the client to identify additional systems suitable for Asset Genius deployment
  • Develop broader understanding of OneSource innovation initiatives to optimize service delivery and reduce cost

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Business or equivalent experience
  • 3+ yeats of IT experience specifically with firewalls and networks and 2+ years of customer service or data analysis experience
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Spotfire or other business intelligence software
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SAP data system is a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the computer screen), distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to perform the essential service functions of this position.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $78,000 to $116,480. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
