I am currently partnered with one of the premier sports and entertainment enterprises in the world to assist in staffing their rapidly expanding technology organization. The Senior Android Engineer must have strong Kotlin programming experience, skilled with Android SDK, Jetpack, and have a background in publishing multiple enterprise Android applications.

As a Senior Android Engineer you will join a team of software engineers contributing to award-winning and complex platforms. Youll have an opportunity build upon one of the leading sports and entertainment platforms in the world. You will work on a platform that encompasses everything from Sports, Content, Marketing, Ticketing, TV, Finance, Media, etc. The business is amid tremendous growth and looking to expand upon its already expansive consumer base, putting a huge emphasis on mobile opportunities, driving new user acquisition strategies, greater brand partnerships, and building an even more massive, unified platform. Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver on high traffic, mobile platforms encompassing everything from content to ticketing, to on-demand services
• Join a team in solving challenging problems and enhancing existing products for engaging user experiences
• Work closely with teams to create technical solutions that work across all mobile platforms
• Developer, monitor and maintain Android code that runs on a variety of platforms and devices
• Build upon a leading app in the app store, by developing polished front-end experiences using Jetpack Compose
• Modernize legacy codebase by transitioning Java and XML views to Kotlin and Jetpack Compose frameworks
• Integrate and maintain vendor SDKs
• Full lifecycle software development: requirements gathering, design, develop, test, deploy, and support
• Lead projects from inception to successful delivery, aligning with business goals and stakeholders
• Develop, monitor, and maintain services to communicate with consumers, including push notifications, in-app messages, SMS notifications, and inbox messaging
• Influence the innovation of products used by millions of users worldwide
• Assist in changing the way content is consumed by users across various platforms and devices

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 4+ Years of Android/Kotlin programming experience
• Experience using Kotlin to write software for Android applications
• Skilled with Android SDK
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for creating polished Front End UI experiences
• Experience working with Rest APIs and JSON
• Knowledge of CI/CD and build automation tools
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Firestore, DataDog monitoring, and Github Actions
• Ability to refactor legacy code bases
• Previous experience publishing multiple enterprise Android applications
• Experience building scalable, high-volume services
• Prior experience developing backend software is a big plus
• MDM management and integration knowledge is a big plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math or similar
