Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Eastern Long Island electrical contractor is searching for an experienced accounting professional for an opportunity as a Senior Accountant. This position has the potential for growth. The Senior Accountant oversees certain financial activities including accounts payable, inventory, and production of monthly reports. Must be able to work with senior management.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare, review and direct the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Department
• Work closely with production and warehouse manager to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Handle inventory accounting
• Identify improvements to automate existing manual processes
• Assist with special projects (i.e.system implementations, operation initiatives, etc)
• Document internal controls and procedures
• Prepare workpapers and required schedules for audit and quarterly reviews
• Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and ServiceTitan software preferred
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Able to multitask efficient and effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
