Senior Accountant - Osmotica Pharmaceuticals

POSITION OVERVIEW

Senior Accountant – To manage critical gross to Net Calculations and analysis. Maintain all gross to net accrual calculations, including discounts, chargebacks, distribution fees, Medicaid fees using sales and Royalty accruals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the monthly and quarterly close process for chargebacks, commercial, government contracts, and other relevant GTN discounts.
• Prepare month analysis of detail gross to net activity by NDC.
• Reconcile and analyze various gross to net calculations (Direct & Indirect)
• Managing adequate reserves for each gross to net category.
• Prepare monthly-related journal entries and ledger account reconciliation.
• Prepare analysis of monthly royalties’ calculations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional departments regarding impact of GTN strategies.
• GTN Quarterly and annual business review and various analytics to management.
• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Support finance team with the audit requests.
• Explain monthly variances versus PM and QTD for various accounts
• Support finance team with the month-end close process and audit requests.
• Perform ad hoc and special projects as deemed necessary during the course of the year.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required
• 5+ years’ public/private GTN/Pharma experience required
• SAP and Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus
• Advanced computer skills, including advanced Excel skills (vlookup and pivot tables)
• Analytic and problem solving skills a must
• Very effective organization and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must
• Dedication, passion, attentive to detail and ability to effectively multi-task operations/projects with deadlines
