Form of workOur Client a leading consumer product company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the company. The role will work directly with the Controller and the CFO. The company offers an opportunity for advancement, solid benefits and a healthy bonus.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and year end basis
- Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end and year-end closings
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for management
- Assist in analyzing inventory variances and trends
- Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and budget versus actual variance analysis.
- Review daily bank activity for accuracy
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank reconciliations
- Analyze gross profit reports for monthly reporting package
- Assist with year-end certified audit requirements by investigating and resolving audit findings
- Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
- Assist with additional analysis, tasks and special projects as needed
Qualifications Include:
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi task
• ERP and Strong MS Excel
