A Dowl Knight & Company PC is a well respected, full-service CPA firm located in Columbia, SC. We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package. Offers great work life balance. On average team members work approximately 50-55 hours per week during tax season. From May through December we work 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
- Assist clients with tax planning and prepare tax projections
- Ability to research complex business and tax issues
- Respond to tax notices
- Assurance Services, Audit, Review and Compilation engagements
- Support and assist in training and development of staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (Master's preferred)
- CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
- 5 or more years of public accounting experience in taxation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Professional with strong communication and client relation skills
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Able to work independently

We provide audit, review, and compilation services. We also provide income tax preparation services for both businesses and individuals.
