Job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Intercompany Senior Accountant to oversee the reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions across our various entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with intercompany accounting, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities Include
- Reconcile intercompany balances between multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in intercompany transactions, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare and review intercompany invoices, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate intercompany eliminations during the consolidation process.
- Analyze intercompany accounts and provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules related to intercompany transactions.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices related to intercompany accounting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to intercompany transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
