Form of workThis full-time hybrid Senior Accountant role is located in Silver Spring, MD, with flexibility for some remote work. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities and assisting with financial reporting duties. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and tax laws
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
