Senior Accountant

Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. CIL is a global leading company in a highly technical, extremely fast-growing industry and is a critical supplier to several scientific and high technology markets. CIL's growing customer base spans academia, pharmaceutical, medical diagnostic and semiconductor industries enabling collaborations with Nobel laureates, industry-leading scientists, and chemists. CIL is a subsidiary of the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group and has had consistent growth for over 40 years.

The Senior Accountant will support the finance team in all accounting operations including general ledger, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit support. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and will have exposure to various areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Analyze month end business unit results
• Assist with the annual financial audit and tax compliance
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Drive fixed Asset tracking and reporting
• Proactively analyze manufacturing variances and support cost accounting
• Prepare weekly sales analysis for senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Prior experience at a publicly traded company preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office applications

In high technology, deuterated organic molecules and deuterium gas are commonly used in the manufacturing of microelectronics and OLEDs, which contribute to the increased lifetime of the devices.
