Established in 2013, Chery Industrial Equipment Group is located in Garden City, Long Island, with locations in Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Canada.

The company sales and leases various construction and material handling equipment. With its rapid growth in sales, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and proactive Senior Accountant in our Finance Department to manage our financial reporting in Yongyou ERP system.

The qualified accountant will be able to apply experience and sound judgement to manage timely and accurate financial reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-organized with a strong sense of timeliness and accuracy, who pays attention to detail, comfortable multitasking and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff to timely complete all accounting transactions monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Reconcile all bank accounts; review and validate accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and fixed asset balances.
• Timely post all transactions to the general ledger; make the necessary recurring and accrual entries.
• Review and analyze monthly financial reports and compare the results with sales department reports; communicate significant variances on a timely basis.
• Assist and work directly with company CEO with ad hoc financial reports and estimates.
• Work with Finance Manager to help support the overall department goals and objectives; work with company’s CPA with reports and estimations.
• Help Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, and work with departmental managers when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting
• Advanced or intermedia Excel skills. Proficient in Google Suites. Yongyou ERP a plus.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

Salary: $70,000-$75,000
