Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing a variety of account transactions and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for reconciling accounts and general ledger analysis.
- Working with internal and external auditors to gather and/or prepare requested items.
- Posting, reviewing and reconciling journal entries performed by other team members.
- Providing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
- Processing new business licenses and filing annual renewals.
- Assisting with various projects and reports.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- At least 5+ years of accounting experience is preferred
- Experience in the mortgage industry is preferred
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and with all levels and varying positions of staff
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently in a time sensitive environment
