Senior Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the full-cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities in accordance with US GAAP
• Perform and manage close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and intercompany transactions
• Complete analytical review procedures on significant changes period over period
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Perform and manage working capital and cash flow cycles
• Ensure AP are processed in a timely manner
• Process expense reports in a timely manner
• Manage corporate credit card accounting and reconciliation process
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a documented system of internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards
• Assist in the coordination of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Liaise with partners in the business to improve and automate processes
• Support the corporate accounting team and invest in their growth and success

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience and experience with high growth companies
• Thrive in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment; are a top performer, with a proactive approach and a roll up your sleeves mentality
• Have excellent communication and analytical skills with an ability to relate to all parts of the business
• Ability to multitask, self-prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Are proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful, and have a natural ability to problem solve
• Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Bill, and Brex a plus
• Have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
