Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger maintenance, account analysis, reconciliations, and report preparations. This position also handles more complex accounting transactions and assist in training Staff Accountants. -How you will make an impact: - - - - -
- Maintain General Ledger (dollars and statistics) for assigned lines of business and communities.
- Prepare journal entries and white papers to record and document complex accounting transactions, such as investments, bond transactions, and swaps.
- Reconcile complex bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Review the bank and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
- Resolve outstanding items on account reconciliations in conjunction with other departments as necessary.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of assigned month-end financial reports, including reviewing reports for unusual trends, comparing current month results to the prior month, and investigating trends.---What we offer:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. -
- 3 + years experience in the field or a related area. -
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required. -
- Prior experience with JD Edwards is a plus but not required. Knowledge of Health Care Accounting preferred. -
