Senior Accountant Job Purpose:
The Senior Accountant oversees key aspects of the monthly and annual close process, including coordinating and executing account reconciliations, analyzing general ledger activities, and handling special projects. While primarily an individual contributor, they also offer support to fellow accountants and accounting clerks when needed.
Senior Accountant Essential Job Duties:
- Generate monthly and annual financial statements for multiple companies.
- Review and analyze financials and account activity.
- Create financial analyses and reports.
- Prepare and/or review journal entries, ensuring proper support according to procedures.
- Develop company forecasts for management.
- Conduct and/or review account reconciliations.
- Validate data against system reports.
- Ensure compliance with controls and processes.
- Collaborate with operations and/or vendors/customers to resolve issues.
- Assist with or review tax returns, such as production taxes.
- Support year-end reporting, including overseeing the issuance of 1099s.
Senior Accountant Skills and Qualifications:
- ?Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, such as excel or word.
- Proficiency in reading professional documents.
- Effective communication skills for professional correspondence.
- Strong aptitude for calculating financial amounts and indicators.
- Ability to conduct research and interpret rules and regulations accurately.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay Details: $36.00 per hour
