Summary of this Role
The Senior Accountant will handle various aspects of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and receivable, ACH, check and wire payments, along with various other accounting functions. In addition, the Senior Accountant will reconcile accounts and work closely with the local management but will be part of an international finance team based in Europe and will be reporting to the Group Accounting Manager in Germany.
Expected Schedule
Monday Thru Friday, 8 hours per day, hours TBD
Holidays and Vacation as per company policy
Must be available for month end close - for first 8 working days of each month.
Tasks in Detail
- Prepares daily and monthly journal entries.
- Reconciles the bank accounts & assigned general ledger accounts daily.
- Posting accounts payable invoices
- Preparing and posting of intercompany invoices
- Receives checks and makes deposits weekly
- Processes the accounts payable check run weekly
- Approves checks, bank wire & ACH payments online and vendor invoices & payments in collaboration with the Group Accounting Manager in EU
- Posts inventory, customer shipping & fixed asset invoices
- Close collaboration with the purchasing, warehousing, and production team
- Prepares and processes the filings for Nevada Business License & Property Tax.
- Assists with the company audit preparation and communication.
- Assists with the 1042-S & 1099 filings annually.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline.
- 5 Years of practical experience preferably in a medium sized (e-commerce) company in a finance position.
- deep understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls.
- willingness and enjoyment of working in an international finance team based in Europe.
- willingness to travel on business to Germany once a year.
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience is a plus.
- Experience in working with ERP software.
- advanced skills in MS-Excel.
