Our firm is currently looking for a full-time Senior Accountantin our Accounting Controllership Services Department. This position will interact and coordinate with clients to ensure proper accounting treatment, execution of accounting functions and reporting of results. This is a client facing role that will allow the accountant the opportunity to help the small businesses and non-profits of the communities that we serve to thrive financially!

Our firm is currently looking for a full-time Tax Senior Accountantto join our team. This position is responsible for supervising many phases of client projects under the direction of, and in consultation with, Managers and Partners, in an effort to ensure that quality service is provided in a timely, responsive and efficient manner. This role is responsible for supervising, reviewing, and assisting with training employees at the intern, staff and associate levels.

Our firm is currently looking for an Audit Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for the direction of engagements and/or projects and the proper performance of fieldwork, while beginning to establish a more personal and direct working relationship with clients and reporting progress to partners, senior managers and managers.

What you will do in the ACS Senior Accountant role:

• Interact and coordinate with clients to ensure proper accounting treatment, execution of accounting functions and reporting of results.
• Maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Address tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.
• Review discrepancies in data received from clients and requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data.
• Interact with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data flow and makes recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in data entry, collection and retrieval.
• Accounts payable responsibilities including charging expenses to accounts, recording entries, processing checks, resolving purchase order or invoice discrepancies, verifying vendor accounts, and similar functions.

What you will do in the Tax Senior Accountant role:

• Apply appropriate accounting and tax principles during the performance of tax engagements and assignments to ensure accurate and reliable data and client satisfaction.
• Create and manage effective interpersonal relationships, including assisting with supervision, utilization and training of Staff and Associate Accountants.
• Review work of Staff and Associate Accountants and provide appropriate feedback to encourage learning and growth.
• Prepares complex tax returns and tax research.
• Review tax information supplied to client; may meet with or call clients with questions.
• Recognize, anticipate and resolve tax issues and make any necessary recommendations.
• Meet productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).
• Perform other duties as needed/assigned by Partners and Managers.

What you will do in the Audit Senior Accountant role:

• Participate in various phases of audit, compilation and review engagements, including budgeting, planning, work papers, checklist, correspondence, financial statements and disclosures.
• Assis in the execution and completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries.
• Request and review information submitted by clients for completeness; communicate with clients regarding any questions or missing documentation.
• Ensure that financial statements, client correspondence and other related documents are prepared in accordance with professional and Firm standards.
• Create and manage effective interpersonal relationships, including assisting with supervision, utilization and training of Staff and Associate Accountants.
• Review work of Staff and Associate Accountants and provide appropriate feedback to encourage learning and growth.
• Meet productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours).
• Perform other duties as needed/assigned by Partners and Managers.

What you'll bring to the table:

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related discipline as well as 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm, or related experience.
• The ideal candidate will be a team player who has a desire to expand their accounting knowledge.
• A high level of confidentiality and written and oral communication skills are a must.
• Self-driven, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to positively and proactively manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Positive attitude and excellent relationship building and communication skills, both oral and written.
• High-level analytical, problem-solving and reasoning skills
• Dedicated to developing and enhancing a team environment
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, especially in MS Outlook and MS Excel skills, is a must.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess Suite
• Experience in Tax research
