While many current positions have the option of working remotely, our offices are available for all employees to work from on a voluntary basis. We have beautiful offices in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Boston, MA to accommodate employees in a hybrid or full-office setting.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
C+C is looking for a motivated, highly organized Senior Account Executive (SAE) who thrives on building relationships and trust, who anticipates and proactively works to fulfill client needs, and who is driven to deliver awesome work and services that surprise and delight. Candidates for this role need to live in the Portland area and plan on a hybrid work schedule with scheduled in- office days.
The successful candidate will have a 'do-what-it-takes' attitude, no matter the size or scope of the project or task at hand. This person would be supporting a wide range of social good projects, primarily focused on energy and environmental issues. Daily activities will run the gamut, including but not limited to online research, story development, project management, media pitching, communication planning, assisting with creative development, press release and blog writing, and assisting with logistics for outreach and events. From a public relations perspective, they will have the ability to engage media, from press releases to media list development to outreach, to help shape public opinion of the company or organization and increase awareness of its brand. They will be able to synthesize technical information into succinct, engaging messaging and distill high-level client goals into project requirements and next steps. This position will act in both support and lead roles depending on the project or campaign. We work with public and private sector clients, and non-profit organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working with C+C managers (and clients) to plan, implement and evaluate integrated PR and marketing campaigns
  • Planning and facilitating client and internal meetings
  • Acting as lead client contact and lead staff person accomplishing client work, with support of internal teams
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Planning and managing media outreach and media content development, including story identification, media list development and media outreach, and tracking media coverage
  • Staffing in-person and virtual media events
  • Building, monitoring, and tracking project timelines and budgets
  • Writing content for a variety of channels, including media pitches, communication plans, newsletters, blogs, social media, press releases, press materials, campaign messaging and talking points
  • Creating high-level reports and presentation decks
  • Managing production of content and events (e.g. collateral materials, organizing staffing, securing supplies, etc.) in cooperation with internal teams
  • Conducting secondary research on sometimes technical or complex subject matter and synthesizing research and data sources into key insights
  • Providing mentorship and supervision for junior staff

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Creative, flexible problem-solving
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage time in a rapidly moving environment with daily competing priorities
  • At least four years of experience working in a PR/marketing position and/or in an agency environment with direct exposure to clients
  • Experience in media relations, including story identification and successful story placement
  • Strong writing and editing skills (press releases, newsletters, blog and social media posts, etc.)
  • Ability and love for multi-tasking (supporting 3-5 projects at any one time)
  • An understanding of marketing and social media concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A four-year college degree, or equivalent experience
  • A sense of humor!

COMPENSATIONThis is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $68,959- $ 86,994 plus bonus. We provide a work from home set-up as needed.
