Description
La Colombe has immediate openings for dependable CDL Class A Shuttle Drivers to drive our semi on a planned route to ensure deliveries are made on time. This is a great opportunity to build a successful, long-term career!
You'll be responsible for:
- Fully understanding how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
- Driving vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 80,000 lbs
- Transporting pallet goods and packages from a place of origin to an assigned destination
- Picking up loads and organizing goods in an ordered, logical manner
- Ensuring contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
- Safely and efficiently handling and unloading goods from a truck at selected destinations
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work 12-hour Shifts with rotating weekends (5am-515pm)
- Have a valid driver's license and commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with a tanker endorsement
- Have experience driving a large company van or truck (preferred)
- Have a clean driving record with no moving violations
- Are a skilled and confident driver
- Have the Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Experience using hand trucks and electric lifts
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
