Job description

Semiconductor RF GaN Expert Consultant
Key Role:
Apply technical leadership and subject matter expertise to defense clients in the areas of state-of-the-art semiconductor foundry technologies and process engineering, in particular, RF (Radio Frequency) Gallium Nitride Fabrication for Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC). Advise the government on advanced technology node access and capabilities. Leverage expertise across the areas of advanced processing for semiconductors including process development, process modeling and simulation, process characterization, and related technologies. Define strategies and technology assessment methods to enable shared understanding of defense packaging objectives, testing and evaluation of those technologies, and develop roadmaps, business models, and technology models for improved access and collaboration in the future.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with working in a direct technical capacity working with RF Integrated Circuits, or Gallium Nitride (GaN)
  • 5+ years of experience with technical and physics-based analysis of semiconductor process technologies
  • Knowledge of new semiconductor foundry processes, architectures and compound semiconductor materials, device physics and structure, and the carrier transport mechanisms
  • Knowledge of the types of semiconductor fabrication and foundry process technologies used today and the gaps in today's technologies and approaches, ongoing research, what promising efforts are underway, and their respective goals and timelines
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process performance parameters
  • Ability to perform analytical calculations of semiconductor process technologies, provide accurate technical assessment of various approaches, and incorporate these into technology roadmaps to guide industry activities
  • Ability to interpret defense needs related to advanced microelectronics, evaluate the performance of various technologies and vendors, and define a technology and business roadmap that defines the path forward to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Semiconductor Physics

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
