Job Description
The Semiconductor Process Engineer is responsible for development of compound semiconductor detectors at SBF's state-of-the-art detector and focal plane array manufacturing lines.
Functions include both new process development and supporting production. Areas of responsibility may include: wafer fabrication (starting from incoming material characterization through photolithography, etching, deposition, and die singulation) as well as advanced interconnect and packaging processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
Facility requires special access so must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired skills
Knowledge of common Semiconductor Processing such as photolithography, thin film deposition, wet/dry etching, and dicing. Knowledge of advanced interconnect and packaging processes.
Familiarity with MATLAB and JMP or other data analysis software. Demonstrated ability to lead teams on projects of moderate complexity. Ability to interface effectively from the technician level to senior management.
IR industry experience a plus.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
