We are seeking a Houston based SEM & SEO Specialist willing to work on-site (this is not a remote role) . The ideal candidate will own and scale our digital marketing efforts as part of a broader marketing team and will focus on digital marketing strategies. In addition, the ideal candidate must have some experience of digital content creation as well as CRM. To be successful in this role you must be able to bring a combination of subject matter expertise as well as an ability to juggle numerous tasks and projects.
This position will support the business unit and will be responsible for metrics to include CPC, CPL, CPA, % keywords in top 10%, marketing qualified leads (MQLs), Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) Opportunities, Funnel Opportunity Revenue and Marketing Generated Revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
This position will lead, coordinate, monitor and implementation several marketing initiatives and other assigned projects which includes but are not limited to:
SEM - Lead, Develop, implement, and then expand (based on ROI) a paid search program. The SEM strategy is expected to be a component of a larger integrated marketing campaign as well as to be a stand alone and ongoing program.
SEO - Lead, Develop and implement a plan to increase the % of keywords in the top 10 to deliver on agreed KPI's. This involves working with internal resources to develop keyword lists, optimize for search volumes and then deploy and optimize as well as implement related SEO strategies including inbound and outbound linking etc.
Website Editing and Content Creation - While the role is intended to focus on SEO & SEM we are looking for someone with broader website editing experience and the ability to get involved in supporting website development and edits and other ad-hoc digital marketing areas as needed.
Lead Generation - It is expected that SEM and SEO will be a primary driver of generating MQLs and SQLs. The Specialist will be responsible for implementing tactical plans the deliver the maximum number of quality leads that convert to funnel opportunities and revenue.
Tactic level expertise - This role will be the subject matter expert for SEM, SEO, website maintenance and development. Experienced in preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly KPI reports on digital marketing efforts.
SEM & SEO experience within a B2B marketing environment - Experience for brands with a solution based go to market strategy that includes some type of high value technical hardware/equipment + service with a sector/industry concentration.
Martech familiarity. Comfortable working with Data Analysis tools, WordPress CMS and Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM tools.
Capability building, backed by results - As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to provide supporting KPIs that demonstrate their knowledge and success from past campaigns.
Requirements
- 5+ years in paid search campaigns such as Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
- 5+ years in SEO optimization strategies.
- 3+ years implementing SEO & SEM plans for high value B2B solutions.
- 3+ years of WordPress or related content management systems (CMS).
- 3+ years in Digital Analysis & Reporting.
- 3+ years experience with Project Management tools.
- 3+ years proficiency with office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be a Results oriented individual with the ability to be self-directed
- Must have Channel Ownership and sense of urgency
- Highly motivated, team-centric and work with integrity and trustworthy
- Must have ability to submit to a background/drug screen
