About the Job:
The Storage Consultant will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility. The position consists of 16 - 20 hours per week with the flexibility to work consecutive days when needed to cover manager vacations, sick time, etc.
- Renting of self-storage units. Shows property, explains terms of occupancy, points out amenities and provides information about the facility to prospective tenants.
- Accurately completing all rental agreements and supporting unit rental documentation.
- Collecting and processing monthly rental payments.
- Conducting a daily walk thru and lock check of the facility.
- Handling all customer inquiries, either on the phone or in person with a continuous focus on sales and converting phone inquiries into site visits.
- Maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the property.
- Selling and promoting of boxes and packing/moving supplies.
- Ability to travel to the bank daily and post office if needed.
- Opening and closing the facility following proper procedures.
Experience/Skills Required:
- 1 to 2 years of retail or storage experience required
- Highschool graduate or GED required
- Customer Service Experience· Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with tenants, guests, and co-workers.
- Flexible with your schedule, including weekends - Must be available to work on Mondays
- A sense of energy, passion, integrity, honesty, dependability, and personal responsibility
- Motivation and dedication to serving customers and a job well done
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be within commuting distance to the facility
Physical Requirements:
Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 25 pounds | Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically | Visually look at a computer for extended periods | Able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time | Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside | Repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
