Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated Segment Producer to join our flagship morning program, based in New York. You will report to the show's Senior Producer and work with the team putting together our daily 3-hour Surveillance morning program, as well as assisting with other coverage for our global network. We want someone with a strong editorial background and a creative streak, who excels in a live TV control room environment and thrives on the excitement of breaking news.
You should have a broad interest in global news with a focus on finance and the economy.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Research, write and produce strong editorial copy with speed and accuracy.
- Create and find video and graphic elements to support the stories.
- Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content.
- Work closely with the executive producer, show producers and talent on segments.
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment, be able to pivot and react as news events evolve.
YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
- At least 3 years of experience booking and/or producing for live TV.
- Knowledge of business news and the financial markets.
- Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Flexibility with hours and early morning start times.
